Hi, we are facing a big problem with Archetype Designer that prevents us from working normally with Templates.
AD is not able to import the parent archetypes type Composition, reporting that they are not present in the imported file, although we have checked that this is not the case. As a result, we can neither import Templates nor work with them.
The error is shown both when importing templates from a file and from another repository.
For the time being, we have found a workaround, it is possible to import the archetypes on the one hand, and the templates later, but it still shows some error and we do not know if it is reliable.
Another alternative, faster, is to import the templates without validation, “as is”.
I can reproduce the error and can’t see any obvious reason. There are sometimes issues with resolving parents of specialised archetype but none I can see here.
I would be fairly comfortable that it is ok to ignore the error - I can load the template into clean repo and the template loads without any issues.
Thank you for your help. This error did not occur a few days ago, maybe it is a version change.
Right now, we have some templates pending to go into production, much more extensive than the example shown, and it would be literally impossible to manually check that the import is correct.
we updated AD to 1.24.15 on Friday. Adding some improvements for .OET template handling. Unfortunately we overlooked one case when handling native format
The error looks terrible, I agree, but it can be ignored since template is imported correctly.
Will fix the issue and update AD ASAP (ETA today).
