openEHR CEO Rachel Dunscombe (@ukpenguin) on my YouTube channel

Hi all,

I’ve been working up a little bit of a tiny YouTube channel called Everything Digital Health, aiming to talk about, well… everything related to Digital Health. Last week openEHR’s CEO Rachel Dunscombe (@ukpenguin) agreed to come on and talk about openEHR!

For this community which is already fairly well aware of openEHR, there’s probably not that much new here, but you may wish to watch anyway. If anyone’s got feedback I’m very pleased to hear it either here or in the YouTube comments.

This is just openEHR Part 1 — this week I recorded a chat with @thomas.beale (openEHR Part 2) covering more of the ‘origin story’ and the background to openEHR as well as some of the future hopes for its capability, and that will be released next week.

Next week I’m chatting with @ian.mcnicoll — openEHR Part 3 — about some more implementation-specific openEHR stuff including many of the great projects he’s involved in.

I am mixing it up a bit with clinical, technical, political, and organisational aspects of digital health, but if anyone from the openEHR community would like to come on and talk then PM me and we can chat.

Thomas and I discussed a huge range of healthcare technology topics, starting from an openEHR viewpoint but also straying into the future world of safe, accurate ambient AI assistants that can reduce the documentation work for clinicians. A longer episode than usual, but we were getting into some super interesting areas and Thomas is a legend, so I let it run a bit longer.

Here’s “openEHR Part 3” with FreshEHR’s @ian.mcnicoll - a well-known person in the openEHR community whom many of you will know.

We moved into the backend and more operational or practical aspects of openEHR, as well as did a bit of chatting about health computing in the pre-PC era, and writing health software on a ZX Spectrum!

If anyone else would like to come on the Everything Digital Health channel to talk about openEHR, your health tech work, personal projects, big picture ideas, or anything else then please feel free to send me a PM!
