Intervention summary ready for publication

Dear all,

The archetype Evaluation Archetype: Intervention summary [openEHR Clinical Knowledge Manager] has been on four review rounds, and in the fourth review round there were 2 “Minor” and 7 “Accept” (12 when including the Norwegian review). The archetype has had minor adjustments after the latest review, and the editors recommend it to be published.

The adjustments are mostly clarifications in Concept description, Purpose and Use sections. There is an addition in Misuse section: “Not to be used for summarising planned or proposed interventions which have not been started. Use other appropriate archetypes for this purpose, for example EVALUATION.recommendation, any INSTRUCTION, or an ACTION in a ‘planned’ or ‘scheduled’ state.”

There are two Change Requests still open, which will be handled later when there are concrete use case for them.

The editors plan to publish the archetype shortly, October 10th, and request anyone opposing this or have opinions on this to make a change request or start a discussion in the archetype in CKM in due time for the publication.

On behalf of the editors,

Vebjørn Arntzen

Hi, I’ve added a change request to reflect the transfusion use case.

Editorial decision: The Change Request CR-1273 has been closed, and need to be reopened or made another as soon as there is a concrete use case. The element “Number of interventions” will be removed for now, as the content is ambiguous.

The archetype is requested for use long time ago, and will therefor be published in it’s revised design after removal of “Number of interventions”.
