My name is Dennis Wollersheim; I lecture in Health Information Management
at La Trobe University in Bundoora, Melbourne, Australia. I am currently
co-authoring a health archetype literature review. Evelyn Hovenga
suggested that the inhabitants of this list might have some suggestions.
I have already gathered publications from Pubmed, computer science
journals, and those pointed to by the OpenEHR website. My question is, do
you know of recent (or unpublished) archetype related work that would be
good to publicise? Basically, who is doing interesting archetype research,
and what are they up to?
Thanks in advance
Dennis Wollersheim

Dear Dennis,
My experience with archetypes, that not all archetypes are published,
especially the ones we develop for lecturing purposes.
In my case, clinical modelling of nursing practice only can be achieved once
the system developers are demanding that body of knowledge. At this point we
find only more generic ones in OpenEHR.
I am collaborating with colleagues in Latinoamerica that are using
archetypes in their research for ontological purposes in clinical care and
modelling of practice, and some are using it as standards of clinical
protocols..
We are hoping to publish this work at the end of the year, since all five
projects are in proposal status in their respectives institutions and
collaborators.
Some work in spanish will be realeased in near future as part of a book ,
where I am one of the editor from Meditarreo publishing houses in Chile.
Cheers

There is some work going on in Spain - published in Spanish - not sure if
you got that. I have a paper submitted if you want to approach me off the
list.
I am also involved in several archetype related research papers that
are recently submitted or in the process of submission. If you are
interested, I can send you some information.
I am currently doing research on developing archetypes for the digestive
endoscopy domain and have started an open source endoscopic reporting
software implementation project. My main interest is using openEHR
archetypes for improving software maintainability and interoperability.
This is the continuation of my Ph.D. thesis research which you can
access from openEHR Website at publications page. I am pretty sure that
my endoscopic findings for colon archetype is by far the most gigantic
archetype with 10 language translations in it. I am hoping it to appear
on the CKM site soon
