Further development of archetypes, and a first look at the repository

Dear All

I have had the chance to interact with more people over the past two months on archetypes than previously - which has lead to some development of archetypes. These are on display as HTML and downloadable as ADL to view in the editor at:

http://oceaninformatics.biz/archetypes/

You might notice that the Goal archetype has been simplified to include targets within it, rather than only in the specialisation.

There are a new set of archetypes to make exclusion statements about conditions, adverse reactions, hospitalisations etc. Having these archetypes makes the positive statements about family history and adverse reactions much clearer.

Glucose is a good example of State information dealing with complex information requirements. This new archetype will deal with GTT - it may be worth specialising it to make this clear, although the three readings will be events in the observation.

Finally, the new interface for the archetype repository is at:

http://www.dualitysystems.com.au/archetypefinder/

The special searches such as gender and age specificity do not work yet but are part of the ontology. Our aim is to make it very straight forward to find an archetype to do the job! Any comments will be most welcome.

Cheers, Sam Heard
