Submitted a request to the Uniform Law Commissioners (http://www.nccusl.org/nccusl/DesktopDefault.aspx)
to consider a project for ELECTRONIC HEALTHCARE RECORDS. The next meeting will be in January, 2004.
If a project is approved the Commissioners will address a Uniform Code for the 50 states in the US for ELECTRONIC HEALTHCARE RECORDS. Such a project would consider the legal relationship with the federal government and the current state of HIPAA.
