My persistence 'FAQ'

Dear all,

enough people seem to want to read my persistence page that was under
the FAQ section of the old site. It is not really an FAQ. It is really
material for a paper and proper research, but I decided to pubish it
anyway on teh web. Question is: if I move it to the new web, where does
it go?

Resources > ....?

Tutorial? Not really. Do we need a new group for material that is just
'published' on the web?

Hi Tom,

I would be tempted to put it under Resources -> Publications

And create a new category for non-peer reviewed publications, which
could include web articles as well as your piece.

I am undecided about what the setion should be called, some ideas:

"Unpublished"
"General"
"Misc"
"Web based"

I am not really happy with any of those, but perhaps sombody else will
have a brain wave.

How about:

"Web page"
"Report"
"Manuscript" (if you decide later to submit it)

or "Ancient text"

These are from Endnote reference type list. I think "Unpublished" is most appropriate.

Wouldn't the wiki be a possible place if we think that others want to
refine the discussion later when more implementation experience is
gathered? A link to that wikipage (or other place you decide to put
it) from some suitable FAQ-entries might also be good .
