Dear Daniel,

In order to be ready and to test the connection, I have logged in to the link you provided below. Is there another link I should follow, or button I should click on screen, to activate the video link?

With best wishes,

Dipak

Very good, I appreciate this transparancy very much. I hope it will be available afterwards on Youtube.

Bert

Dear All,
The video will be on YouTube immediately after the defence. A feature of hangout on air. Same link used. /Daniel

I too appreciate the open way that the document and defence are being published. The interplay between complexity, scalability, specifications, standards and usefulness is not well understood, and this document has certainly helped me to develop my understanding - and I will be going back to it for further insights.

The concept of semantic sustainability is excellent, as is the recognition that health informatics knowledge is a limited resource, and that reducing the technical debts that have built up in health informatics is everyone’s responsibility.

I commend this paper as a strong contribution to that urgent task - providing and pointing to many valuable ideas that will help make healthcare a better informed vocation

Have some great and fruitful discussions tomorrow

all the best

Charlie

Dear all,

The defense is available at http://youtu.be/0lpHFG3Dhts .

Dipak Kalra was not present at the defense in Linköping in person due to flight cancellations, so he did his part remote from Amsterdam.

Erik passed the defense and there is no only paperwork left before he receives his Ph D degree. Congratulations Erik!

Regards,

Mikael

I’m still getting over seeing Erik in a tie;-) Well done - excellent work. I have gotten just a little way into it (it’s a 3h video. If someone wanted to make an edited version you would instantly win the Academy award for best edited foreign e-health PhD thesis defence movie  - thomas
