This topic is a bit of a mixture of implementation and clinical aspects: We have considered using exclusion_exam.v1 in the protocol of various templates with OBSERVATION archetypes, with the idea of specifically recording that a clinical test/measurement was not done, mostly for the context of brief examination/screenings. Given that for OBSERVATION archetypes, it is not possible to store a Composition without “data” (ie only protocol), this does not seem to work as we intended. What would be the best way to record this type of exclusion, when there is no corresponding service (request)? We have considered adding the exclusion_exam.v1 in the context, as a context-only composition is valid, although we think that it would fit better in the content. Another possibility is to have a Composition with a (empty) summary and no events, as that would permit sending protocol data without clinical measurements.
On multiple occasions I have read that the exclusion archetypes are going to be reworked significantly. Where can I follow the progress of these pending changes?
I’m wondering if this topic wouldn’t fit better in the clinical category than in implementation/platform? ![]()
