Do we need a more specific language setting for the translation of openehr_terminology.xml?

There are significant differences between the Chinese Simplified and Chinese Traditional translations of these contents.

There are more than one language encoding scheme :

IETF RFC 1766 (based on ISO 639 Alpha-2 and ISO 3166 ). For example:

  • zh-CN means Chinese in Chinese mainland;
  • zh-HK means Chinese in Hong Kong;
  • en-US for English in United States;
  • en-GB for English for United Kingdom.

IETF RFC 4646 (upgraded version of RFC 1766). For example:

  • Chinese Simplified (zh-Hans)
  • Chinese Traditional (zh-Hant)
    ** zh-Hant-HK for Chinese Traditional in Hong Kong;
    ** zh-Hant-TW for Chinese Traditional in Taiwan.

IMO, it’s best to use this IETF RFC 1766 (ISO 639 Alpha-2 + ISO 3166 ) to create a new language directory. For example, “zh-CN” rather than “zh”.
