informal poll: openEHR conference

I have been an observer/lurker on this list perhaps because I lack the computing
brainpower to be a significant contributor
I work in remote northern Australia in health = we use a proprietary system which
is networked over a wide area. This is a significant achievement, but the system
is difficult to use with a poorly designed interface. There are several unrelated
systems in other centres. I have promoted OpenEHR to the powers that be here, and
they are moving towards an interoperable system. However they are captive to a
corporate IT provider as is the case in so many government systems and progress
is glacially slow.

Many of the "service items" in the system look like archetypes, except they have
been designed in an ad hoc way

I admire OpenEHR in that you are "doing" in designing systems and software rather
than having expensive talkfests. Still I think meetings have a place and I for
one would find it useful to become more involved. Depending on the date, I would
be willing to travel to Europe for such a conference
