In support of the HL7 VULCAN FHIR to OMOP Implementation Guide, we encourage you and your organization to participate in the upcoming HL7 January 2025 Ballot cycle.

Here’s how you or your organization can contribute:

  1. Join the Ballot Pool
    Enrollment opens on November 18, 2024, and closes on December 19, 2024. By joining the ballot pool, you or your organization can directly influence the final version of this Implementation Guide, which is crucial for advancing standardized data mapping and interoperability between FHIR and OMOP.
  2. Vote for the Implementation Guide
    The voting period will run from December 20, 2024, to January 20, 2025. Every vote counts, so you or your organization’s participation will be instrumental in moving this guide forward.

We appreciate you and your organization’s support in helping establish a comprehensive, consensus-driven guide that meets the needs of HL7 and OMOP stakeholders alike. Please reach out to the co-Leads if you need additional information on the ballot process or the importance of this initiative.

Looking forward to the Vulcan IG, sadly i did not attend the VLUCAN meetings frequently.
