# XML Schema for the openEHR Demographics package? **Category:** [Technical (archive)](https://discourse.openehr.org/c/technical-archive/156) **Created:** 2008-04-21 15:30 UTC **Views:** 3 **Replies:** 3 **URL:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/xml-schema-for-the-openehr-demographics-package/13800 --- ## Post #1 by @erik.sundvall Hi\! When browsing through the xsd files for the openEHR RM at http://www.openehr.org/releases/1.0.1/its/XML-schema/index.html I did not find the classes from the demographics package in the schema\. Am I partially blind or have they not been published as XML Schemas along with the rest of the model? Is there anybody out there who have created an XML\-schema for the openEHR demographics package? Best regards, Erik Sundvall erisu@imt\.liu\.se http://www.imt.liu.se/~erisu/ Tel: \+46\-13\-227579 P\.s\. Whatever happened to the demographics package when running it through the CEN standardisation\-process? A brief look at the EN13606\-spec gives the impression that they have hardcoded a number of field into theit RM instead of using archetyping, is this correct? Why on earth\.\.\.? It even looked like there are no places to add new archetyped structures \(like ITEM\_STRUCTURE\) anywhere in the 13606 demographics package, is this correct? --- ## Post #2 by @system HI, It is optional as I happen to remember. So when there is an archtyped one, so the better. Standards are conservative documents. Gerard > P.s. However we have recently produced a draft schema which we intend to provide to openEHR for the next release\. I am happy to provide you with a copy for your review with the understanding that it is just a draft\. Regards Heath --- ## Post #4 by @yampeku Just found a post from a year ago about the topic that I wanted to ask so I'm refloating it\. Is the openEHR Demographics XSD Schema going to be released soon? If not, can I have a copy of the draft? --- **Canonical:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/xml-schema-for-the-openehr-demographics-package/13800 **Original content:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/xml-schema-for-the-openehr-demographics-package/13800
