ISO 18308 defines the EHR as a virtual collection of patient related data. It assumes the data are stored for an identifyable individual in more than one technical system (virtual). ISO 18308 also assumes that the data can be used accross the continuum of healthcare, including continuity of care, management information, epidemiology etc. Sincerely yours, dr.
