# Two-level modeling **Category:** [New to openEHR?](https://discourse.openehr.org/c/new-to-openehr/13) **Created:** 2023-11-24 23:26 UTC **Views:** 528 **Replies:** 3 **URL:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/two-level-modeling/4701 --- ## Post #1 by @Nikolai_Ryzhikov Guys, can you elaborate on two-level modeling a little bit? Is it the same as "model-driven architecture" or not? By model-driven architecture, I mean systems that could be configured with model metadata. Or there are more than this in "two-level modeling"? --- ## Post #2 by @Nikolai_Ryzhikov I read couple of papers by Thomas about two-level methodology and still didn't get it. I have some background in semantic web/ descriptive logic, fhir and v3/rim, ddd, model-driven arch, oop and fp etc :( I probably can repeat claims from papers, but i really didn't get it. Help me ;) --- ## Post #3 by @birger.haarbrandt Hi @Nikolai_Ryzhikov, I think this section within the openEHR specifications provide some good information on this question: https://specifications.openehr.org/releases/BASE/latest/architecture_overview.html#_multi_level_modelling_and_archetypes --- ## Post #4 by @Seref Read on Object Constraint Language and its use cases in addition to Birger's suggestion, then take a look at ADL specifications. --- **Canonical:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/two-level-modeling/4701 **Original content:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/two-level-modeling/4701
