# Standard syntax for including Incomplete data?

I'm looking into how to implement the changes for Incomplete data from [SPECRM-97](https://openehr.atlassian.net/browse/SPECRM-97), and I am not seeing anything in the AQL guides for the specific syntax for including this data in queries. There were a few thread I found with recommendations, but no consensus I saw.

What is the recommended syntax, and should the AQL guide be updated to reflect it?

There is a related ticket for this: https://openehr.atlassian.net/browse/SPECQUERY-24 and is scheduled for next release of AQL specs.
On the other and the current specs already allows querying for VERSION, from where you should be able to refer to lifecycle_state. There is also a topic on this: https://discourse.openehr.org/t/lifecycle-state-in-ehrbase/1567/5.
