the basic problem we have is that as soon as we want to create a set of archetypes, including code binding, the software crashes most of the time. Also some archetypes (one in 4) is saved correctly, but does not open anymore. I need to sidetrack via an XML editor to see where problems are, correct and then it opens again in some instances.
And, I cannot save an archetype with another name, for versioning.

What we will need is examples and more details about the crashes. This is not our common experience.
Can you send through some details about the version you are using, some example archetypes that will not load etc and some examples of archetypes that make it crash most of the time? Is there a particular point at which it crashes? We will also need to know what OS you are running ie is it 32 or 64 bit etc.

can you please log the issues there. Could you log each distinct problem as a separate PR, with sufficient information so that we can reproduce them? Thanks. This will help us greatly to diagnose your problems.
This issue tracker can of course be used by anyone else experiencing problems with the Archetype Editor.
