post coordinated expressions

I think SNOMED does provide a syntax, I saw it once somewhere. I think it is in the tig.pdf but I am not sure

Hi,

I can just agree. A SNOMED CT expression can contain one concept (and then we call it a pre-coordinated expression) or more than one concept (And then we call it a post-coordinated expression), but both are semantically just expressions.

Hi,

The SNOMED CT Compositional Grammar is specified and explained in the “Compositional Grammar - Specification and Guide” at the address https://confluence.ihtsdotools.org/display/DOCSCG/Compositional+Grammar±+Specification+and+Guide . The syntax itself is specified in chapter “5 Syntax Specification” at the address https://confluence.ihtsdotools.org/display/DOCSCG/5+Syntax+Specification .

Regards

Mikael

I wonder what the decision will be. Will the current ADL specs be adjusted to support also post coordination? The grammar change is trivial. Several organizations in the Netherlands would really welcome that. Can we have an indication about this?

This also, because the migration to ADL 2.0, also after it is ready defined, will take several years.

Thanks
Bert

we will certainly look into doing this one as quickly as possible.

That is very nice, Thomas

Thanks

Bert
