# openEHR template and oet template **Category:** [Technical (archive)](https://discourse.openehr.org/c/technical-archive/156) **Created:** 2011-01-20 10:50 UTC **Views:** 2 **Replies:** 1 **URL:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/openehr-template-and-oet-template/13970 --- ## Post #1 by @Cristian_Armentano Hi all; I'd really appreciate your opinion about some issues about openEHR template concept in AOM 1.5. From current development specifications found here: http://www.openehr.org/svn/specification/TRUNK/publishing/architecture/am/aom1.5.pdf http://www.openehr.org/svn/specification/TRUNK/publishing/architecture/am/adl1.5.pdf http://www.openehr.org/svn/specification/TRUNK/publishing/architecture/am/tom.pdf I see that Templates are defined in the form of specialised archetypes. On http://openehr.org/knowledge/ I found 2 example of OET templates (“eReferral” and “Demo with hide-on-form”), but I think they're not compliant to specification mentioned above. Is "oet template" a different concept with respect to "openEHR template" described in AOM 1.5? Or are there any points I'm currently not considering? I really thank you very much for your kind attention. Best regards; -cristian- --- ## Post #2 by @Peter_Gummer1 Cristian Armentano wrote: > Is "oet template" a different concept with respect to "openEHR > template" described in AOM 1\.5? > Yes, they are different\. The oet templates are the first generation of templates in openEHR\. They proved that the idea of aggregating archetypes works in reality\. The 1\.5 specification builds upon this experience\. \- Peter --- **Canonical:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/openehr-template-and-oet-template/13970 **Original content:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/openehr-template-and-oet-template/13970
