The Occupational Data for Health (ODH) model that has been shared with some openEHR folks and reflected in comments on the Occupation Record (formerly Occupation Episode) and Occupation Summary archetypes provides a way to collect information about many of the concepts that have been raised, including being unemployed (not employed and seeking work) and both paid and unpaid work. It does not preclude modeling for a person who is a student and working, although we did not specifically include modeling for students unless they are interns or paid (e.g., receiving a stipend). The ODH model does facilitate recording more than one job.
Work/Job is a different concept than 'how people spend their day' - in our opinions. We agree with a previous commenter who said it would help to have scope more clearly defined.
