# openEHR Fellowship Program, 2026-2027

With just three months remaining on our inaugural Fellowship Program, applications are open now for our next cohort of openEHR Fellows.

:handshake:  **What is the openEHR Fellowship Program?** An unparalleled opportunity to build knowledge and contribute tangible results to the openEHR community, with dedicated mentorship and guidance from experts in the field.

:light_bulb:  **Who should apply:** Anyone passionate about driving innovation in digital health and helping to shape the future of healthcare interoperability.

:newspaper: **How:** Simply complete the [application form](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdgaWEcqXJo2OmwEq1Ja68q5Ja94ifKX5YcTAiQhNtW-_rybQ/viewform?usp=header), stating your area of interest and proposed project, or nominating an existing project on which you can build and contribute.

:stopwatch: **When:** Applications close on 31 March 2026 (2026-03-31). Successful candidates will be announced in April 2026, and the program will commence in May 2026.

:busts_in_silhouette: Mentorship and guidance from project supervisors *and* a community of senior fellows and experts.

:people_hugging:  Collaboration: You’ll attend (remote) monthly meetings, have exclusive access to an interactive Discourse area, and be provided with supplementary course materials including a monthly reading list.

:globe_showing_europe_africa: Real-world impact: You’ll focus on an individual project that will deliver tangible outcomes to the openEHR community, including - but not restricted to - areas such as clinical modeling, standards development, and technical innovation.

Hi @Abi,

I'm a new joiner here, and also new to openEHR. I come across the fellowship through LinkedIn so I registered, because it's an opportunity I've been searching for.

I just get to know that I had to be a member first before I could be consider for the fellowship which is totally fine, I would join the membership plan by tomorrow.

However, I have some few questions to ask, if you would be open to answer I'd drop it after your confirmation.
