Hi,
Archetype editor includes a datatype called "Choice’. This allows more than one data type(text & coded text for example) for the same node. Is this OpenEHR standard?

It is indeed.
It is not called ‘choice’, it is just multiple datatype constraints on the same element.

Hi Dileep,
Choice is not a data type per se, but a visual aid to tell you that at a given place in the archetype you have defined more than one data type as a valid option. In real patient data only one of the types will be present.

It is explained in the ADL 2 spec here: http://openehr.org/releases/AM/latest/docs/ADL2/ADL2.html#_single_valued_attributes
And the ADL 1.4 spec here: http://openehr.org/releases/AM/latest/docs/ADL1.4/ADL1.4.html#_single_valued_attributes
