For the web/video thing - I used to be in favour of this, but it has
been used in the last 2 IHTSDO conferences (good on them for having a
go), and it failed miserably
But streaming it live / recording it is still helpful and not
disruptive.
I wonder if there is some kind of global conference calendar, where we
can see all conferences in e-health for the next 12 months?
http://www.hiww.org/ I think is as close as you get to that kind of
resource.

Even if this is slightly off topic considering the original post that started this topic, I’d like to suggest another alternative to streaming/phone calls etc.
http://videolectures.net/ is a fantastic source of information with video recordings of key academic events. Instead of streaming which would require a lot of effort & infrastructure, if we can simply record the event, we can submit it to videolectures (I can’t see any reason for them to reject). Total cost is just tri-pod and a camera, and some work on slides and captured video, which can take place after the event.

yes, I did think at IHTSDO that it might be ok; although setting up the equipment was quite disruptive in many cases. As long as this could be done non-disruptively I would be in favour of it.

I was thinking Melbourne… We have good beer here and we are not far from a train station…
U van Amsterdam has a strong informatics dept.
I like VB, but the trains are not very reliable...
How about Stockholm? Close to nature (nice lakes etc) and good railway
systems, plus a quite bit openEHR use here =)
