# EHR_ACCESS in EHRBase

 Hi,
I see that there are REST endpoints in EHRBase to handle Compositions, EHR_STATUS, Directory, EHR, Contributions. What about the EHR ACCESS ? Is it possible to create/update the access control settings for the whole EHR?

Hi Giovanni,

The challenge with EHR_ACCESS is that in reality, there could be multiple different access control mechanisms. Hence, there is nothing implemented that is hard-coded part of EHRbase but this would need to be adapted to specific scenarios. There might be an example implementation later this year, but for now this is not connected with functionality.
