# Definition of ACTION ISM_TRANSITION.careflow_steps **Category:** [Archetype Designer](https://discourse.openehr.org/c/archetype-designer/30) **Created:** 2024-06-17 15:02 UTC **Views:** 131 **Replies:** 3 **URL:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/definition-of-action-ism-transition-careflow-steps/5367 --- ## Post #1 by @damoca Working with the ISM_TRANSITION in the Archetype Designer we found two possible improvements/corrections. First, when a careflow step is defined in the INITIAL state in the archetype tree, it is not shown in the graphic representation. Should it exist a box for the initial state? The EXPIRED state box is not present either. ![image|690x179](upload://bCDvZjaam1lEUTUsIDrOaREIN92.png) ![image|690x339](upload://zwVaIX0nW9zDENlVlLIyN6NMGlR.png) Second, if we create a careflow step from the graphic representation, the popup window is titled "New state". Shouldn't it be "New careflow step"? It is quite confusing now. ![image|690x395](upload://kBoeO1krhsny3YZG1RbcXLwwP6P.png) --- ## Post #2 by @borut.fabjan Hi Diego, good suggestions. Thanks for reporting. Will be addressed in the next release. --- ## Post #3 by @borut.fabjan Hi Diego, fixed with AD 1.24.13. ;) ![Screenshot 2024-07-04 at 17.51.29|690x310, 75%](upload://lfD6EdYvud1xRYSs99Ts9TsxjPg.png) --- ## Post #4 by @ana_pascual Continuing with the same topic, currently in the graphical representation the postponed and cancelled states come from the initial state but in the specifications it is defined that they arise from the planned or scheduled state. I think it could be confusing. ![pathway|690x207](upload://nwgeuDAPqlS8EQ9GgX0mePsPw3D.png) --- **Canonical:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/definition-of-action-ism-transition-careflow-steps/5367 **Original content:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/definition-of-action-ism-transition-careflow-steps/5367
