# Complete open source tele-health solution w/openEHR as core? **Category:** [Covid-19](https://discourse.openehr.org/c/covid19/32) **Created:** 2020-04-03 10:57 UTC **Views:** 759 **Replies:** 1 **URL:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/complete-open-source-tele-health-solution-w-openehr-as-core/551 --- ## Post #1 by @erik.sundvall Just an idea that I won't have time to pursue myself: Could a complete open source tele-health solution for scalable handling of remote (home based) Covid patients be built with openEHR as core using "Task Planning" etc. A flexible setup where some patients can do all follow-up/reporting by themselves (forms+bots), some can chat (with human care staff + bots) and some can use videoconferencing where needed. If somebody would combine open source: * Video conferencing: https://meet.jit.si/ (Here is a [test meeting](https://meet.jit.si/HighChartersEnforceEvenly) I started but have to leave now...) * Textual conversation/chat threads (via some chat/conversation/bot framework, see examples at https://geekflare.com/chatbot-development-frameworks/) with "bot"-plugin capabilities (e.g. a bot presenting an openEHR based form or running one end of a GDL/TP-based flow) * An openEHR framework for Electronic Health Record storage/retrieval, like https://ehrbase.org/, * Integrations w/ Google Fit like https://github.com/regionostergotland/wwv (register temperature etc using Android's or iOS built in health apps) There is a hackathon in Sweden now at https://www.hackthecrisis.se/ that I won't be able to participate or mentor in. (I have hinted to some students though.) Feel free to explore and use the ideas in any form anywhere... --- ## Post #2 by @erik.sundvall Another hackathon opportunity: https://euvsvirus.org/ --- **Canonical:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/complete-open-source-tele-health-solution-w-openehr-as-core/551 **Original content:** https://discourse.openehr.org/t/complete-open-source-tele-health-solution-w-openehr-as-core/551
