I have been working on Family history - and it is clear to me that it is likely that a relative might want to record that someone is alive and well. We can cope as long as there is something wrong with them! What I am proposing is a base demographic record in the EHR for Father, Mother - probably only has optional DOB, alive/dead and optional DofDearth.
The advantage of having this record is that we can deal with a relative who is alive and well - ie, the family history can see that someone is alive and has no problems.
What do you think?
